In 2001, Koben Miceli was granted his Master of Science in Information Technology from The Johns Hopkins University, following his Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University. In addition, in 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. These degrees prepared Koben Miceli for what would eventually become his career. Currently, he serves Catalent, Inc., in Philadelphia, a full-service pharmaceutical support company. There, he has full P&L responsibility and leads a team to turn the business unit around. For example, he significantly increased Catalent’s service level as well as its operating income. In the process of reforming the company’s structure, Koben Miceli drove a lean manufacturing focus of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

In the past, Koben Miceli also worked on other company turnarounds. For example, from 2002 to 2004, he served at The Stanley Works, where he was tasked with improving a troubled division worth $125 million. In the course of his work, Koben Miceli increased sales by $10 million, raised the service level by 28%, and decreased backorders by 90%. The team drove improvements in daily financial information, operations, and supply chains systems.

Some of the positions that Koben Miceli has held include Senior Director of Globalization Strategy, Plant Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Leadership Development Associate. His work around the world in a variety of manufacturing environments has given him expertise in acquisitions, factory management, outside sales, and enterprise resource planning systems, among others. Some of the training and certifications that support Koben Miceli’s work include a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification as well as completion of the Lean Immersion Workshop, Strategic Marketing Program, and Leadership Development Program.
